About the Role


We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of a multifamily mid/high-rise development in Hallandale Beach. The APM will work closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to ensure the project stays on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality expectations.



Key Responsibilities


  • Assist the Project Manager with all phases of project execution for an 8โ€“25 story multifamily project.
  • Support budget tracking, cost controls, change orders, and subcontractor payments.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project schedules and coordinate with field teams to track progress.
  • Work with design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with procurement, buyouts, and contract administration.
  • Ensure project compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
  • Support communication between office, field, and ownership groups.



Requirements


  • Experience: 2โ€“5+ years as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or coordinator role in commercial or multifamily construction.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of construction processes, cost management, scheduling, and documentation.
  • Communication: Bilingual English/Spanish is mandatory for coordination with diverse subcontractor teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work on site and in the project office as needed in Hallandale Beach.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with mid or high-rise concrete and multifamily projects.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • OSHA 30 or industry certifications.
