SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER – PORT OF MIAMI TERMINAL V


PROJECT OVERVIEW

Terminal V is a new $350 million, 350,000 SF cruise terminal at Port of Miami designed to accommodate 7,500-passenger Icon-class vessels.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is the primary on-site leader responsible for full execution of Terminal V from pre-construction through closeout and turnover to cruise line operations.

  • Reports to: Vice President of Construction (Miami office)
  • Dotted line to: PortMiami Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Team size: 8–12 direct reports (PEs, Superintendents, Coordinators)
  • Subcontractor count: 35–45 trade partners


Pre-Construction

• Finalize GMP buyout with top 3 bidders per CSI division • Lead value engineering workshops with architect (Bermello Ajamil) and engineers • Secure USACE Section 408, FDEP ERP, and SFWMD permits • Develop Level 3 P6 baseline schedule with resource loading

Construction

• Chair weekly OAC meetings and daily subcontractor coordination • Manage 3-week look-ahead and recovery schedules • Oversee MEP rough-in, curtainwall installation, and baggage conveyor integration • Implement PortMiami security and badging protocols

Closeout & Commissioning

• Coordinate CBP mock inspections and cruise line FIT tests • Manage TCO/CO issuance and final lien waivers • Deliver as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and training to PortMiami facilities team

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years as lead Senior Project Manager on $150M+ public infrastructure projects
  • Direct experience on at least one of the following:
  • Cruise or ferry terminal (PortMiami, Port Everglades, Port Canaveral, or equivalent)
  • Aviation passenger terminal
  • Marine or heavy civil waterfront structure
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Primavera P6 (resource-loaded schedules, EVM reporting)
  • Procore or PlanGrid daily logs and RFI/submittal tracking
  • Familiarity with USACE RMS, FDEP stormwater, and CBP facility standards
  • Certifications:
  • OSHA 30-Hour (current)
