Senior Human Resources Manager

Location: Eastern Shore of Maryland (on-site, Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM)

Compensation: Competitive base salary plus benefits

Build People is representing a respected, long-standing industrial manufacturer in a confidential search for a Senior Human Resources Manager. This person will lead HR for the company's headquarters and be a trusted partner to the leadership team.

What you'll do

• Lead day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, policies, compliance and HR programs
• Advise leadership on employment law, investigations and risk, and keep the company compliant at the federal and state level
• Run talent acquisition, onboarding and retention for professional and manufacturing roles
• Oversee benefits, compensation, performance management and annual renewals
• Manage the HRIS and HR reporting, and push for better processes and data
• Build a positive culture and support managers with coaching and training
• Lead or support HR integration for growth projects and acquisitions

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally including a leadership role in manufacturing or industrial settings
• Strong knowledge of employment law and hands-on employee relations experience
• UKG experience preferred, and experience with ADP, Paylocity or similar systems also works
• A track record of building or improving HR functions
• Someone confident, approachable and comfortable working on-site every day with both the shop floor and the executive team
• A bachelor's degree in HR or a related field and a PHR, SPHR or SHRM certification are a plus
