Outside Sales Representative – Industrial Distribution


We are retained on a search with an industrial distributor looking for a Sales Representative with industrial experience to join their growing team.


About the Role

This is a field-based outside sales position responsible for managing and growing a territory through new business development and existing account management. You will be selling a portfolio of industrial products — including compressed air systems, vacuum, and related equipment — to end-users across manufacturing, production, and industrial facilities.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a territory through prospecting, cold calling, and nurturing existing customer relationships
  • Present and sell industrial equipment and solutions to plant managers, maintenance personnel, and engineering teams
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into long-term accounts
  • Work closely with internal teams on quoting, order management, and post-sale support
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
  • Maintain accurate activity and pipeline reporting through CRM


Requirements

  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or a related field
  • Familiarity with compressed air, vacuum, pumps, or fluid power products is a strong plus
  • Proven track record of new business development and territory growth
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the territory


Compensation
