About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects throughout the West Palm Beach area. This is a hands-on leadership position for a seasoned construction professional with extensive experience managing large, complex commercial projects for a General Contractor.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of relevant commercial construction experience, including a strong background in large-scale and luxury projects. Experience with private schools, healthcare facilities, churches, institutional buildings, and high-end custom construction is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing field operations, coordinating subcontractors and project teams, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee commercial construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel across all phases of construction.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure critical milestones are achieved.
• Oversee daily site operations, including inspections, deliveries, manpower, and trade coordination.
• Review plans, specifications, and construction documents to identify potential issues and prevent delays.
• Work closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety, and site organization.
• Monitor project progress and proactively address scheduling, manpower, and field-related challenges.
• Conduct regular site meetings and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, building codes, and established quality standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and punch lists.
• Provide leadership and direction to field teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of relevant construction experience with a General Contractor, overseeing commercial construction projects.
• Extensive experience as a Superintendent or General Superintendent managing large, complex commercial projects.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale and high-end or luxury construction projects.
• Experience with one or more of the following project types is highly preferred:
• Private schools and educational facilities
• Healthcare facilities
• Churches and religious facilities
• High-end custom homes
• Large commercial buildings
• Institutional construction
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, scheduling, and field operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and trades simultaneously.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify potential issues early and implement practical solutions.
• Procore experience is a plus.
• OSHA certification is preferred.

Compensation

Annual salary range of $150,000–$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
