Traveling Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Location: Big Cypress Reservation, FL

Project: New Recreation Complex

Compensation: $160,000–$180,000 base salary + per diem + full compensation package

About the Opportunity

A leading South Florida general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead the construction of a major new recreation complex in Big Cypress Reservation, Florida.

This is a large-scale, ground-up project featuring multiple recreational and community facilities, including athletic spaces, pools, fitness areas, outdoor recreation amenities, support facilities, and site development.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex commercial, institutional, hospitality, recreation, or large-scale public projects from preconstruction through closeout and be comfortable working in a traveling/project-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project from preconstruction through final closeout, maintaining responsibility for schedule, budget, contracts, and overall project execution.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, procurement, buyout, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Superintendent and project team.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Coordinate multiple scopes and building components across a large, complex project site.
• Maintain strong communication with the owner, design team, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
• Identify potential project issues and develop solutions to maintain schedule and budget.
• Ensure quality, safety, contractual, and compliance requirements are maintained throughout construction.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project progress, financial performance, schedule, and risks.
• Drive successful project turnover and closeout.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience managing large-scale ground-up construction projects, preferably $120M+.
• Experience with complex commercial, institutional, recreation, hospitality, education, healthcare, or similar projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project controls, contracts, scheduling, and financial management.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and multiple project stakeholders.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work on a traveling assignment in Big Cypress Reservation, FL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
