Project: Private School Renovation + Competition Pool Addition

Salary: Approximately $130,000 base + 20% annual bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee the renovation of a private school campus and the construction of a new competition pool addition in Fort Lauderdale. The Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, safety, and ensuring the project is delivered according to plans, specifications, and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all daily field operations from mobilization through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, deliveries, and site logistics.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate sequencing with the project management team.
• Conduct daily site walks and monitor progress, quality, and workmanship.
• Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and potential field conflicts.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and coordinate weekly look-ahead schedules.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite.
• Coordinate work around an active school environment and minimize disruption to school operations.
• Work closely with the PM, architects, engineers, owners, and inspectors to resolve field issues.
• Monitor punch list, commissioning, closeout, and turnover activities.
• Ensure work complies with applicable building codes, safety requirements, and project specifications.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.
• Experience with commercial, institutional, education, or complex renovation projects.
• Ground-up or major renovation experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on active jobsites.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, plans/specifications, and quality control.
• Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project management teams.
• Procore experience preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Compensation

Around $130,000 base salary + 20% annual bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.
