A nationally recognized General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead the construction of major K-12 education projects throughout the Atlanta market.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven field leader who has successfully delivered ground-up schools, campus expansions, major renovations, and occupied-campus projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project safety, quality, schedule, and subcontractor performance while maintaining strong relationships with school districts, owners, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from preconstruction through final turnover on K-12 education projects.
  • Develop and execute site logistics plans, phasing plans, and project schedules.
  • Manage and mentor superintendents, assistant superintendents, field engineers, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate all field operations, including civil, structural, architectural, and MEP scopes.
  • Conduct daily site walks, subcontractor coordination meetings, and look-ahead planning sessions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality control, and company standards.
  • Manage work in occupied and active school environments while minimizing disruption to students, faculty, and campus operations.
  • Partner with Project Managers to identify and resolve schedule, budget, and constructability challenges.
  • Drive project milestones and maintain accountability across all subcontractors and vendors.
  • Lead punch-list completion, commissioning activities, and successful project closeout.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
  • Proven experience leading K-12 education projects from groundbreaking through completion.
  • Experience delivering projects valued at $30M+ preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, site logistics, and occupied-campus construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large field teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management platforms.

Preferred Experience

  • Ground-up elementary, middle school, and high school construction.
  • Major additions, renovations, and campus modernization projects.
  • Experience working with public school districts and education authorities.
  • Familiarity with Georgia building codes and local permitting processes.
