Project: Private School Renovations

Salary: Approximately $130,000 base + 20% annual bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the renovation of a private school campus and the addition of a new competition pool in Fort Lauderdale. The PM will work closely with the Superintendent, owner, design team, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule and monitor progress against key milestones.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and cost tracking.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent to ensure efficient field operations and project sequencing.
• Review plans, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, scope reviews, and contract administration.
• Lead OAC, subcontractor, and project coordination meetings.
• Maintain strong communication with the owner, architect, engineers, and project team.
• Identify potential project risks, schedule impacts, and cost issues and develop solutions.
• Track change orders, pay applications, commitments, and project financials.
• Coordinate inspections, permitting, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout.
• Ensure documentation and project records are maintained accurately throughout the project.

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager.
• Experience managing commercial, institutional, education, or complex renovation projects.
• Experience with projects involving multiple trades and significant site coordination.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgets, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
• Ability to work effectively with Superintendents, subcontractors, owners, architects, and engineers.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Compensation

$130,000 base salary + 20% annual bonus, depending on experience and qualifications.
